Hiya, I’m Jord-ann — the heart behind JayesCreatives.

With over seven years’ experience working with children and young people, I’ve designed and delivered creative programmes that uplift, enrich, and amplify youth voices — especially those often overlooked or underserved. I believe in the power of creativity as a tool for transformation, self-expression, and building confidence.

My practice is rooted in care and connection. I work with an intersectional lens, ensuring young people feel seen, heard, and empowered to advocate for themselves in ways that are authentic and meaningful. Creativity, to me, is more than a talent — it’s a toolkit for resilience. Through every project, workshop, or conversation, I aim to help young people discover that toolkit within themselves, so they can move through the world with confidence, clarity, and purpose.

Alongside my creative practice, I bring a strong background in youth work and service development. I’ve worked across both the voluntary and public sectors, with experience in programme delivery, strategic oversight, team management, project design, safeguarding, and youth service expansion. I’m passionate about driving change that’s truly felt by the communities I work with.

At the core of everything I do is a commitment to working with underrepresented young people — particularly those from the global majority — with a focus on mental health, wellbeing, and confidence-building. I create and sustain environments where young people are not just included, but where they thrive.
